This presentation is perfect for those wanting to learn more about the fabulous world of fungi and how to safely and legally forage wild edible mushrooms in Illinois. We’ll cover mushroom basics and you’ll also learn about mushrooms through the seasons, where to find them, identifying characteristics, lookalikes, and how to keep an eye out for common local edibles.
By the end of this presentation, you’ll have tools to help you ID several different edible fungal species and a basic understanding of our region’s mushroom terrain!
