Our usual first survey of the year! In previous years, we’ve found some fun spring fungi including multiple types of morels, some formerly known as Gyromitra (false morels), Dumontinia tuberosa, Scleroderma polyrhizum, and several others.

Please come early so we can start promptly, and wear bright colors. Since the park is about 50 miles south of Chicago, you’ll probably want to allow 1-1/2 to 2 hours drive time.
