Witch hats, vampire’s bane, glow-in-the-dark ghost fungus, poisonous Jack-O’-Lanterns, bleeding tooth fungus– whether it’s because they’ve got spooky names, creepy looks, or deadly toxins, there’s a whole world of freaky fungi to celebrate and learn about. Join us for an evening of spooky scientific fun. Mycological photographer, Isle Royale National Park fungal survey scientist, and Illinois Mycological Association’s President Liz Weinstein will give a talk about some of the world’s most monstrous mushrooms and frightful fungi.
